Twitter Turns Clinton’s ‘H’ Logo into Target for Ridicule
Hillary Clinton’s campaign rollout generated a lot of buzz sadly though it was not as she had planned as Twitter users gave her logo a hearty “thumbs down.”
According to some, Clinton’s blue H logo, which has a red horizontal arrow running through it, looked like a road sign which is pointing to a hospital. Others likened the logo to FedEx logo while others stated that her logo could easily be compared with a party logo which was popular with Hungarian fascist party in World War II era. To make it even more badly the horizontal arrow on the logo was pointing to the right.
A commentator with the handle @massfubar, who has over 14,000 followers, tweeted that, “So what lucky 3rd grader won the Design the Hillary Clinton Campaign Logo contest?”
Even WikiLeaks could not resist the temptation of taking shots at Clinton’s logo. Via their Twitter account, WikiLeaks, an organization which publishes a number of secret government information, posted their own logo side by side with Clinton’s. WikiLeaks logo also has a red arrow which points to the right.
"Hillary Clinton has stolen our innovative WikiLeaks twitter logo design," the tweet stated.
It was not all negative though as Clinton’s H logo also received some praise for a number of people including Gina Uriarte who tweeted that, "Hillary Clinton’s campaign logo is Obama meets FedEx and I love it."
Some even pointed out that the logo has helped Clinton popularize her campaign due to the fact that her logo is now the talk of the town.
"She's got you guys writing about her logo instead of her pantsuit and her hairstyle," said Linda Fowler, a political science professor at Dartmouth.
