An American Comedian

Louis C.K is one of the most proficient American comedians and star of acclaimed FX television series Louie. C.K was born on September 12, 1967 in Washington and has three siblings. He married Alix Bailey but then parted ways in 2008. HE has two daughters from her.

He started his comedian career in his teens and first attempted stand-up comedy in 1984 in a comedy club in Boston. His own sitcom, Louie, brought him eternal fame and success and earned him an Emmy Award in 2011, 2012 and 2014 for the Outstanding Writing. He has also won Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album, ‘Hilarious’.

In early 90’s, C.K served as a staff writer for Conan O'Brien and for cable show Caroline’s Comedy Hour. He has also written scripts for ‘The Dana Carvey Show’ and ‘The Chris Rock Show’. HE has also written and directed comedy ‘Pootie Tang’. In 2006, he directed and starred in his own sitcom ‘Lucky Louie’ but was highly unsuccessful. Later, he released comedy string ‘Live at the Beacon Theater’ which earned him $1 million and he donated $280,000 of the total amount to charity.

In 2010, his popular show ‘Louie’ premiered on FX, directed and starred by C.K himself. Later in October 2012, he started his national comedy tour which brough him good fame. In addition to those comedy tours and his popular show, he also appeared in television shows like ‘Parks and Recreation’ and film like ‘American Hustle’. Most of the shows by C.K were based on his own life.
